The New Populist-Nationalist Movement and the Old Dinasaur Media

The New Populist-Nationalist Movement and the Old Dinosaur Media
Bernard Pyron

In a general way what divides the Trump position from the Hillary position is that Trump and most or many of his followers are opposed to the present day rule of the financial and corporate elite. This may seem unusual, because we have not had a Populist-Nationalist movement at the national level which opposes that ruling elite. Goldwater was a Conservative who opposed the political Establishment in the mid sixties, but that Establishment managed to keep him out of office. Reagan was somewhat of a Populist. But George H.W. Bush, who is part of and represents that financial ruling elite, was elected President and took office in 1989, and since then we have had Presidents who have worked for the ruling elite.

And - since the era of Goldwater, the Government-Media-Complex has become less and less able to act as critics of the federal government and of the administrations in power. The media of radio, TV, newspapers, magazines and books to some extent became guardians of the political Establishment and of the ruling elite. The Internet, meanwhile, came into play, 15 to 20 years ago.

Toward the end of the 20th century a Patriot Movement began first using newspapers, books and short wave radio, in the mid nineties before the Internet really got going. Bill Cooper, Mark Koernke, Larry Nichols, Steve Quayle, Jeff Baker and, in the late nineties, a young Alex Jones, were on short wave.

Bill Clinton became President in 1993, and it was just a year or two into his administration that the Patriot movement got going on short wave. There were movies, VHF videos made and books written also in this first phase of the Patriot movement.

The Waco Massacre in April of 1993 was investigated by the people of the small Patriot movement, movies were made revealing a story quite different from that told by the Clinton administration and the media, and the role of Hillary in the final Waco event was shown by the short wave Patriots, and others. The 911 event in September of 2001 involved the George W. Bush administration, and again, offered an opportunity for the Patriots to search out the real story and present a narrative quite different from that of the media.

Larry Nichols came into this Patriot movement during the nineties out of the Bill and Hillary Clinton Arkansas days when Bill was Governor and when he was first President. Nichols was a Clinton insider and knows Bill and Hillary well, and says he helped write the "book," that is, their "rule book" for gaining and maintaining political power.

Nichols had personal knowledge of the activities of both Bill and Hillary, the side of their lives which the alternative media has revealed, though the Government-Media-Conmplex maintains that all this is false and just conspiracy theory.

There is all kinds of information on the Clintons which began to be revealed during the old short wave radio era of about 1995 to 2005, and that revealing has continued as the Patriot Movement moved to the Internet. Now, since about 2013 some in the Patriot movement have been able to stream video of events in real time, which creates viewer interest. Revealing behind the scenes information which the mainstream media will not do also creates viewer interest.

There are Christians who are part of the alternative media - such as Doug Hagmann of the Hagmann and Hagmann Report. See The Hagmann & Hagmann Report, Live and on YouTube. Steve Quayle, who was part of the first phase of the Patriot Movement, on short wave in the late nineties, does not have a show now, but is on the shows of many others, like the Hagmann and Hagmann Report, and Alex Jones.

Was listening to Steve Quayle going way back on Coast to Coast AM. I first discovered Alex Jones when I got my hands on "America Destroyed By Design" back in 1999 or so.... and for a while, I thought he was nuts. But over time I've learned to appreciate him for his relentless pursuit of truth and the willingness to say what is not popular, and for some folks, downright painful.

I think Ron Paul deserves a lot of credit for energizing the liberty movement as well. Along with Tom Woods and many other libertarians.

I think with Trump... there are a lot of those type people with him, but at the same time, there are a lot of faux-patriots as well. I'm undecided on which I think Trump is. All I really hear from him is authoritarian BS. He wants to be the law and order POTUS, I want a "rule of law" POTUS.

Great blog. It's nice to read one that mentions these names without derogatory comments attached.
